Un caso nuevo de COVID-19 detectado en el municipio

A partir de las 5 de la tarde el lunes 25 de mayo de 2020, los funcionarios de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass y el EOC del condado de Maverick informaron que se detectó 1 nuevo caso positivo de COVID-19, lo que elevó el número total de casos a 103.

Total count of COVID cases increases by one

As of 5pm on Monday, May 25, 2020 City of Eagle Pass officials and Maverick County EOC advised that 1 new positive case of COVID-19 was detected, bringing the total count of cases to 103.

Hotel on Hwy 83 near Catarina, TX burns down

Dimmit County Fire Department is currently investigating a fire that engulfed a well known hotel on Hwy 83 near the town of Catarina, TX.

Memorial Day observance on steps of Eagle Pass Public Library

Memorial Day is observed across the country in the month of May when the Nation honors and remembers those who have given their lives for our freedom and Country.

Locally, there are 56 heroes who died while serving our Country in the military.

The City of Eagle Pass held a ceremony to honor and remember our fallen heroes.

Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes presented a proclamation commemorating and honoring our military heroes. The City also unveiled banners that are hung in the downtown area with pictures of many of those soldiers who died in conflict.

Maverick County hits triple digits in COVID cases

Over the weekend the total amount of COVID-19 cases surpassed the century mark registering a total of 4 new cases as per City Officials and the Maverick County EOC. Maverick County stands at 102 cases as of 5pm Sunday, May 24, 2020.
