Early voting to start on Oct 13

Early voting will get underway on Tuesday, October 13 for the November 3rd Presidential election.

It’s scheduled to go through the 30th and registered voters are encouraged to take the time and vote.

The days and times for Early Voting in Maverick County are as follows;
Oct 13-16: 8 am – 5pm, Oct 19-23: 8am – 5pm,

Oct 24 will have special hours from 7am – 7pm. So will Oct 26-30: 7am – 7pm.

On Oct 25 people will only get to vote from 8am – 1pm.

Early voting will take place at the Eagle Pass Multi-purpose Center.

Voters will have numerous federal, state and local races to vote on.

That includes the United States Presidential election which has incumbents Rep. Donald J. Trump / Michael R. Pence going up against Dem. Joseph R. Biden / Kamala D. Harris, Lib. Jo Jorgensen / Jeremy “Spike” Cohen, and Grn. Howie Hawkins and Angela Walker.

Other races Include U. S. Senator
John Cornyn against Mary “Mj” Hegar, Lib. Kerry Douglas Mckennon
and Grn. David B. Collins.

In the U. S. Representative District 23, Dem. Gina Ortiz Jones is up against Tony Gonzalez and Beto Villela.

There are other races which includes a Chief Justice, Supreme Court race,
Justice, Supreme Court, Place 6 , Place 7, and Place 8.

A race for the Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals Place 3, Place 4, and Place 9 is also on the ballot.

A seat on the State Board of Education, District 1 is also being contested.

Texas Senator for District 19 Pete Flores is seeking re-election.

In the State Representative District 74 race, Eddie Morales is one step away from securing the win. He is going up against Rep. Ruben Falcon.

Locally there are several seats that are on the ballot but the candidates are running unopposed. They’re a sure win.

The Maverick County Hospital District and Eagle Pass Independent School District will also be holding elections during this time period.
