Three local teens were arrested by the Maverick County Sheriff Department on Tuesday after they led deputies on a chase and vehicle bailout.
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle (2014, Ford, F-150) due to a minor traffic violation.
Upon activating the patrol emergency lights, the vehicle refused to come to a stop. The driver of the truck then led deputies on a brief vehicle pursuit coming to a stop several blocks away.
Upon stopping two male subjects
exited the vehicle and fled the scene. The male driver a minor was detained.
The other two male subjects were later caught in which they were identified as Juan Carlos Torres (17 y.o.a) and Jeremiah Villarreal (19 y.o.a).
Upon searching the vehicle, narcotics were located inside the vehicle in which the driver claimed ownership of the items.
