A male subject wanted for the shooting murder of two people in the city of Wichita, Kansas, was detained at the Eagle Pass Two International Bridge on Wednesday, June 3rd.
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that the subject identified as 33 year old Kyle Del’Shawn Young who is being accused of the January 2, 2020, shooting murder of 27 year old George Kirksey and 22 year old Alicia Roman.
Young had been on the run for approximately 6 months.
The suspect was detained after attempting to cross into the country through Port of Entry No. 2. Customs agents ran his information and a warrant for murder out of Kansas was found.
Young was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention center where he waits to be extradited back to Kansas to face his criminal charges.
The detainee also faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
