An Eagle Pass Independent School District cafeteria worker tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus.
Eagle Pass Independent School Superintendent Samuel Mijares announced that a EPISD Cafeteria worker who had not been going to work at the Rosita Valley elementary school cafeteria did in fact test positive for COVID-19.
Outside sources have stated that the female employee was infected outside the EPISD workplace and had not been going to work under precautionary measures because her husband had tested positive for COVID-19.
EPISD had all the employees working the Rosita Valley elementary cafeteria curbside meals program tested, and they have since come back negative.
“We have had all the employees at the cafeteria area tested, and they have come back negative. We had closed down the food curbside program in that school out of precaution, and we are scheduled to begin again next Tuesday,” said Mijares.
Mijares emphasized that the EPISD takes all the precautions to assure everyone’s safety and well-being.
