Several local businesses are going to have their personnel wear face masks even after Gov. Greg Abbott has stated it’s optional.
Governor Abbott has taken the liberty to order the opening of a majority of non-essential businesses starting May 1st. He also declared that wearing a face covering was optional but that he recommended that people do.
Interestingly, in a recent interview he noted that going to a restaurant or movie was not in his list at the moment.
“It’s not on my list yet. I’m going to talk to my wife about it and see if we can,” Abbott said. “I don’t know if we’d be able to get in. We’ll see what the crowds look like.”
Gov. Abbott is also allowing his statewide stay-at-home order set to expire on April 30 expire.
