The Eagle Pass Police Department responded to a one motor vehicle
accident that occurred at around 8:00 am.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with a male individual who had crashed his truck into the Eagle Pass High School Security booth in front of the school.
The male individual was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Centers Emergency Room for further evaluation and treatment from injuries he sustained in the impactful accident.
Reports show that a White Truck driven by the male individual disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Second and Bibb St. coming from the Veterans Blvd area. He then failed to turn at a high rate of speed and went into the Eagle Pass High School area. At that point the white truck impacted and destroyed a security booth that is set up in front of the gated entrance.
The truck then ended up ricocheting and and ended up on its side.
The Eagle Pass Police Department is investigating the accident at this current time.
It’s believed that there was alcohol involved in the cause of the accident.
