Forever 21, Walgreens, Dressbarn, GameStop, Gap, Ross Stores and other chains have announced nearly 9,000 store closings in 2019.
Locally, Forever 21 is one of the store’s earmarked for closure according to Information provided by the company, online.
Forever 21 plans to close 178 unprofitable stores including nine in Texas.
The company has yet to announce when the stores will be shut down.
Another company that announced clodures over the past weekend was Ross Stores. It is looking at closing approximately 200 locations in the U.S. Ross will be looking at closing down close to 350 store fronts around the globe.
Ross has 249 locations in the United States and 251 in other countries.
It is unknown at this time if the Eagle Pass location is one of the storefronts to be shut down.
Both locations are located at Mall de las Águilas which could suffer a financial setback if these two chains do, ultimately close their doors.
