Eagle Pass Fire Department sees increase in emergency calls

The Eagle Pass Fire Department has seen a 13% increase in emergency calls during 2019 as compared to 2018.

During 2019 the fire department has responded to 5, 205 emergency calls, an increase of approximately 580 calls as compared to 2018 which recorded 4,625 calls.

With four more months left in the fiscal year, the number of calls is expected to increase even further.

This growth has been gradually increasing on a yearly basis.

This type of growth certainly puts a strain on the Eagle Pass Fire Department and personnel.
