Railroad Commission of Texas to hold public comment for renewal of Permit 42B of Eagle Pass Mine

The Railroad Commission of Texas to hold a public comment and public hearing Renewal/Revision of Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Permit No. 42B, Eagle Pass Mine beginning at 5:00 p.m. on April 3, 2019 and ending at 10:00 p.m. at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade located at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive.

The public hearing is also scheduled to resume on Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The hearing will be held regarding the application by Dos Repúblicas Coal Partnership for renewal/revision of its surface coal mining and reclamation Permit No. 42B for the Eagle Pass Mine. A five-year permit term is proposed by this application. The permit area, consisting of approximately 6,348 acres, is located in Maverick County approximately 5 miles north-northeast of the City of Eagle Pass, Texas.
