Gonzalez who has been at the helm of the EPISD since March 2012 is set to be evaluated in the coming months and could be offered another contract to continue leading the district.
Gonzalez’s contract was extended another year back in 2015 after receiving a positive evaluation from the EPISD Board of Trustees. The original contract agreement was scheduled to end in 2018 and was extended to September of 2019.
During that evaluation process, the (EPISD) Board of Trustees approved a one-year contract extension and a $10,000 pay raise from $150,000 to $160,000.
In previous years, Superintendent Gonzalez has received favorable evaluations by School Board Trustees whom have expressed confidence in his leadership and the direction the EPISD has been on since his hiring.
