The City of Eagle Pass is possibly nearing a deal to buy a designated property in the downtown area.
This property is being considered to be turned into a cultural and economic hub which will create vast opportunities to bring life to the area.
The property being negotiated at this time is the old Riskind Building which is right next to the city’s art gallery project that is currently in the works.
Back in 2018, the Eagle Pass City Council through its Main Street Program began looking at the idea of establishing a Economic Incubator and Art and Culture Center in the heart of downtown.
This project will include a business/ visitors center, a museum, and center for events, 3 spaces for lease, art center.
The City of Eagle Pass continues exploring every possible opportunity to revive the downtown area to its yesteryear.
