Speeding and No insurance increase in Municipal Court

Speeding and No Insurance tickets adjudicated through the City of Eagle Pass Municipal Court in the first 3 months of the (2019) fiscal year have continued to average at least one speeding and no insurance ticket per day in the City of Eagle Pass.

According to Municipal Court monthly departmental reports, there have been 159 speeding tickets

During December there were 46 speeding tickets, November 59, October 54.

This averages to one speeding ticket per day for the entire 3 month period.

During this time period, there have been 136 No Insurance Tickets seen through the Municipal Court.

During the month of December there were 40 tickets, in November there were 51, and in October there were 45 tickets issued for no insurance.

Eagle Pass Police Chief Albert Guajardo stresses the importance of obeying driving laws and asks the community to obey all speeding laws.

Recently a young Eagle Pass resident lost his life in a speeding related accident, coincidentally steps away from the Eagle Pass Police Department.
