A female adult had to be extricated from her vehicle after being involved in a motor vehicle accident with an 18-wheeler truck on Wednesday, December 19, at approximately 12 p.m. in an area along Loop 480.
Law enforcement officials and the Eagle Pass Fire Department were summoned to the area after it was reported that a motor vehicle accident had occurred.
Upon string at the scene, law enforcement personnel encountered a motor vehicle accident between a late model black GMC SUV and a18-wheeler truck.
Officials made contact with the persons involved including the female adult who was trapped inside the GMC.
Personnel from the Eagle Pass Fire Department began to extract the female using the Jaws of Life.
The female adult was finally extracted after being trapped in her vehicle for close to 15 minutes.
EMS Personnel quickly triaged the female and transported her to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center emergency room for further evaluation and treatment.
EP Fire Department Chief Manuel Mello stated that the female possibly suffered serious internal injuries and at this point is being evaluated as to how severe her S her injuries are.
The Texas Department of Public Safety took over the accident scene and is investigating as to who is the responsible party
