The Maverick County Sheriff Detectives Division conducted the arrest of 4 people alleged to be involved in the burglarizing Pct. 2 Commissioner Rosy Cantu offices.
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber, reported that on Tuesday morning Sheriff deputies along with department detectives arrested an 18 -year-old suspect and 3 juveniles for the burglary.
The adult suspect has been identified as Nathan Galan. The 3 juveniles names were not provided but have been turned over to the Maverick County Juvenile Probation Department.
Schmerber stated that detectives have been able to recover the majority of the stolen items, including computers, televisions and other items taken.
Detectives have been following various leads and were able to find the necessary evidence to obtain warrants to effect the arrests.
One of the key findings that helped solve the case was a laptop computer belonging to Commissioner Cantu which had been pawned at a local pawn shop.
An individual is believed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
