Border Patrol agent injured after MVA on N 277

A United States Border Patrol Agent was taken to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency room after sustaining injuries in a two-vehicle motor accident.

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that Sheriff Deputies and Eagle Pass Fire Department Personnel responded to an area on N. 277 Highway regarding the two-vehicle accident.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies made contact with individuals involved in the accident.

One of the individuals, a U.S. Border Patrol agent was treated at the scene and was transferred by ambulance to the local hospital for further medical assistance.

Sheriff Schmerber states that the driver of a 2009 White Toyota Highlander was on Siesta Drive turning onto U.S.Highway N. 277 when it struck a 2017 U.S.Border Patrol Chevrolet Silverado.

The driver of the Highlander did not suffer any injuries.
