Sabinas family injured on I-35 near San Antonio

The San Antonio Police Department is reporting that a family from Sabinas, Coahuila suffered a rollover accident resulting in the death of a woman near I-35 and Laredo highway on Saturday, June 30.

Law enforcement reports state the a Maroon SUV was traveling to San Antonio at around 12 noon when it suffered a tire blow out. This caused the vehicle to lose control eventually rolling over multiple times across the highway. “Three people were ejected from the vehicle,”law enforcement officials state.

Police officials report that sadly a 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was one of the victims that was ejected from the SUV.

Officials also report that a 16-year-old was transported to a San Antonio hospital in critical condition.

Two other children, a 8-year-old child and a 3-year-old child were also injured and transported to University Hospital in stable condition. No further information has been provided on the extent of their injuries.

Two other adults were in the vehicle but did not require hospitalization.

The name of the family has not been released as of the writing of this article.
