Mexican Authorities have issued out information accusing two brothers of the assassination of Former Piedras Negras Mayor and PRI candidate, Fernando Purón Johnston.
The Coahuila State Government is offering a reward of $ 10 million pesos, for anyone who can provide useful information that may lead to the location and capture of the two individuals, who are alleged to be responsible for the murder.
Coahuila Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme has stated that a Judge issued an arrest warrant against Ignacio and Erik Arámbula Viveros from Jalisco. Authorities allege that the brothers were identified as possible actors in the Puron murder.
Since the day of the murder, an investigation has been carried out by federal authorities and State Attorney’s office to establish the identity of the people involved in the crime.
Investigators are trying to piece together information regarding the whereabouts of the Viveros brothers and any details that led to the untimely death of Political Candidate Puron.
Information given by Federal and State Authorities lead to indicate that two possible assailants in the crime had been identified from video and photographic evidence from various political gatherings Puron had held and attended in recent weeks.
Its believed that Coahuila’s State Attorney’s Office could be giving out more information about the case during the weekend.
Both individuals are considered suspects in this crime and are facing allegations. They should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
