The Eagle Pass Business & Economic Development Committee (BEDC) and the Eagle Pass Independent School District will hold a procurement workshop on Friday, May 11, 2018, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the International Center for Trade (East Room). This is the seventh procurement workshop held by the BEDC since October.
This free BEDC-EPISD Procurement Workshop is sponsored by A.E. Hiller & Sons is FREE and open to anyone wanting to do business with the EPISD. EPISD Purchasing Director Luis Velez will lead the workshop and discuss the district’s procurement requirements, process, procedures, and bidding opportunities.
“Eagle Pass ISD is a community partner and awards hundreds of thousands in procurement contracts to local and regional businesses annually,” says EPISD Superintendent Gilberto Gonzalez. “We are committed to providing every opportunity to local businesses to seek these competitive opportunities,” adds Gonzalez.
“The City Council and I applaud the BEDC and its Chairman Mr. Morris Libson for continuing the procurement series and supporting our local businesses, which make up over 80% of all business in Eagle Pass,” says Mayor English-Cantu. “Superintendent Gonzalez has been extremely supportive of the business community through his leadership role on the BEDC and we are grateful to the EPISD for supporting this workshop,” adds Mayor English-Cantu.
