Maverick County Sheriff’s Dept responds to motor vehicle accident on Old Uvalde Road on Monday evening

The Maverick County Sheriff, Texas Department of Public Safety and Eagle Pass Fire Department responded to an emergency call at approximately 8:25 pm on Monday April 9, 2018 regarding a motor vehicle rollover accident on FM Road 481, “Old Uvalde Road.”

Upon arrival Sheriff Deputies encountered that a gray Pontiac vehicle being occupied by an elderly couple had been involved in an one vehicle rollover accident and a elderly female was trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.

At this point in time Air Evac was called to the scene of the accident to be ready evacuate the victim if needed.

A passer-by stopped and rendered aid to the victims and was reported to have extracted the female out of the wreckage.

Eagle Pass Fire Department emergency crews and Sheriff Deputies arrived at the scene and proceeded to render first aid to the victims.

Fortunately the individuals escaped the accident with little injuries.

The couple did notify law enforcement that a wild boar had gotten in front of their vehicle causing them to wreck.
