EPISD Superintendent Gilbert Gonzalez has taken the decision to re-assign Eagle Pass Independent School District Chief of Police Joe Ramos. It’s under his discretion to do so. Up to now it’s unclear as to the reasons why Ramos was re-assigned . But its under that discretion that the Superintendent may take such actions. Ramos is seeking certain answers as to why the re-assignment.
Ramos has been with the Eagle Pass Independent School District since 2009 and quickly moved up the ranks landing an opportunity back in May, 2015 to be named Chief of Police. Ramos was three months away from being EPISD Chief of Police for three years before his re-assignment.
