Eagle Pass Police officers responded to an aggravated assault incident at a residence located at 833 Medina St. on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at approximately 5:15am.
Responding officers found an individual inside the home who stated that he had been stabbed numerous times with a knife by a known subject.
Eagle Pass Fire Department Emergency Technicians treated the 48 year old victim and transported him to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
A lookout was then placed on a male who left with female who lives at that residence.
EPPD officers located two individuals walkinf along the railroad tracks at the 600 block of Pierce St.
The individuals were identified as the subjects being sought. They were then detained and are currently being held at the Eagle Pass Police Department to possibly face charges for the stabbing.
The victim was later transported by Air Evac to a San Antonio, Texas hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
EPPD investigators are travelling to San Antonio to interview the victim.
The subjects detained for stabbing have been identified as 38 year old Homero Castro and 50 year old Rosa Moreno.
This case is currently under investigation.
