Eagle Pass Bridge System Report shows decrease

The Eagle Pass Bridge System 2018 Monthly Activity report shows an overall decrease of – 1.48 percent for the month of January as compared to the same time period in 2017. During the month of January 2018 there were 266,463 total crossings as compared to the same time period in 2017 which reported 269,718 for a difference of -3,255.

The Bridge system reports an increase in 3 of the 5 crossing traffic totals including Trucks(14,263) (18 wheelers), Buses(397), and Pedestrians (54,462).

Cars and Pickups crossings did decrease from 204,195 crossings in 2017 to 197, 111 in 2018 a decrease of 7,084 or -3.47 %. 18 wheeler crossings also had an increase going from 12,863 to 14,263 an increase of 1,400 or 11 %.

Buses also had an increase from 160 to 397 or a increase of 237 more buses or 148 % increase.

Pedestrian crossings saw an increase from 52,184 last year to 54,462 an increase of 2,278 or 4.3%

Motorcycle crossings saw a decrease going from 316 last year in January to 230 a decrease of 114 or -27 %.
