The Maverick County Sheriff Department received a 911 call in the early morning hours of Sunday February 18, regarding a shooting in the Seco Mines area of the community.
Deputies arrived at the 1400 block on Mirasol Drive and spoke to an individual regarding this issue. The complainant advised deputies that unknown actors had fired several rounds of ammunition at her vehicle a (2012 white Nissan Sentra). Deputies proceeded to conduct an investigation and recovered several shell casings at the scene.
Luckily no one was injured in the shooting. Sheriff Deputies proceeded to place a BOLO Alert (Be on The Look Out) on a Gray, Van with Broken rear window, paper plates who witness say was by location leaving the scene.
The Eagle Pass Police Department made contact with a vehicle matching the description in the vicinity of Garrison and Colorado Street.
EPPD detained an adult female who was driving the vehicle. The Female was turned over to the Sheriff Department for investigation.
EPPD and the Department of Public Safety assisted deputies with the case. The case remains under investigation.
