Early voting for the City of Eagle Pass special election will begin on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 8 am to 8 PM at the Multi Purpose Center.
Hours for the other days of early voting are from 8am to 5pm. Special hours for December 11 have also been set up and will be from 8 am to 8 pm. Election day will be on Saturday December 16 at the Multipurpose Center, 480 S Adams St from 7am to 7pm. Election Judge is Mr. Ramon Ramirez. An alternate election judge is Mrs. Martha Lopez. Applications for mail in ballots should be mailed to Imelda Rodriguez, City Secretary/ Early Voting Clerk to 100 S Monroe Eagle Pass Texas 78852. These applications must be received no later than at 5 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

The position being sought was left open when City Council woman Gloria Hernandez was automatically resigned when she held a press conference to announce her aspirations to challenge incumbent Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo for his position. There are 3 persons that signed up for the city council election including ex city council member William Billy Davis, U.S. Postmaster Ernesto Saucedo and Real Estate Agent Romeo Fernandez.
