Good Neighbor Council Celebrates 20 Years

The International Good Neighbor Council held a celebratory event honoring the past 20 years of Mr. Amigos from both sides of the Rio Grande River. The grandiose event took place on Thursday September 8, 2017 In Piedras Negras Coahuila.

In attendance from Eagle Pass was Mayor Ramsey E. Cantu along with numerous of our past Mr. Amigos and representatives from our sister city, Piedras Negras, Coahuila as well.


Mayor Cantu stated that being part of such an important event celebrating so many years of friendship between both communities is an honor and privilege.

“This evening we celebrated our international friendship with our Mr. Amigo’s from distinct years. People like Former Mayor Rodolfo Barrera, Former Piedras Negras Mayor Francisco Juaristi, Dr. Roger Perez and Mr. Antonio Castaneda are all people who contributed to the well being of both sides of the Eagle Pass-Piedras Negras border. Congratulations to all of our Former Mr. Amigos” said Cantu
