The Maverick County Hospital District held their meeting on Tuesday August 29, 2017 in which they discussed and approved to extend the Legal Counsel contract of the districts attorney Alex Fuller.
Chairman Rodolfo Olivares opened the agenda item and passed the floor over to board member Juan Manuel Farias.
Farias then stated that he wished to propose to the board and administration that they extend Fullers contract another year. “I feel that our Attorney has been representing us in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. He is very acquainted with government matters and anything in the area. That’s why I asked if we could keep him for year 3 as a sign that we have confidence in him and the sacrifices he has made even making cuts to his own income so we could better function here. I would like to motion to extend his contract for another year.”
Board member Jesus Casas seconded Farias motion.
Ronald Hixson added that he would like to see the group of individuals that have been working together to better the Hospital district continue pushing forth including Mr. Fuller who has been handling the Districts legal matters for the past 2 years.
The Board voted and approved Farias proposal to keep attorney Alex Fuller for another year as the hospital Districts legal counsel.
