C.C. Winn Mavericks football schedule released

The C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Varsity Football team scheduled for the new football 2017-2018 season has been released. The defending District 29-5A Co-Champion are led by their Head Coach Eric Villasenor and will begin the season playing against the Crystal City High School Javelinas on September 1st at 7:30 pm at EPISD Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The community is invited to participate in this game which will be the schools parents night. Winn will then travel to Laredo on Friday, September 8th, to take on the Laredo LBJ High School Wolves. Game starts at 7:30 pm and will be held at the Laredo United ISD Student Activity Complex.

The team then goes up against the Eagle Pass Eagles for the 12th time in what is always a competitive barn burner on September 15th. Game time is at 7:30 pm at Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. . The Mavericks will travel to the Rio Grande Valley to take on the Mission High School Eagles on Friday, September 22nd, Game starts at 7:30pm at Tom Landry Football Stadium in Mission, Texas.

The following week the Mavericks will battle San Antonio Central Catholic Preparatory Academy Buttons in San Antonio on Friday, September 29th, Game starts at 7:30 pm. On Thursday, October 12th, the Mavericks will go up against the San Antonio McCollum High School Cowboys in Eagle Pass with game time starting at 7:30pm.

The Maverick will host homecoming and battle the San Antonio Southside High School Cardinals in Eagle Pass with the scheduled to begin 7:30 pm. On October 27th, the team travels back to San Antonio to battle the Harlandale High School Indians with kickoff scheduled for 7:30pm at the Harlandale Frank Tejeda Stadium. The Mavericks will the have a tough game as they take on powerhouse Floresville High School Tigers in a key district game to be held in Eagle Pass with kick off set for 7:30pm.

The Maverick will play their final regular season game out of town as they travel to Uvalde to take on the Uvalde High School Coyotes with game start expected to be at 7:30 pm.
