Project Companion calls on citizens to adopt a pet

Project Companion and the City of Eagle Pass Vector Control department are announcing that the City Pound is currently full to capacity with pets that have either been surrendered or caught. Project Companion asks if anyone is seriously interested in adopting a family pet to please stop by the City Pound or contact Project Companion through their Facebook page.

If you are interested in adopting a pet you can view pictures of the animals currently being held at the pound on Project Companions Facebook page.

The City of Eagle Pass Animal Control department continues promoting their year round “Adopt a Pet” program and encourage anyone who is seeking to get a pet to consider pet adoption.

Adoption is the best way to get a pet to add to your family.

Don’t forget any dog or cat within the city limits will need to have a City dog tag as per Sec. 6-7 of the City Ordinance: License tax and tags for dogs and cats. These can be obtained at the Public Works Department for $1.00 per tag.

If you are interested in adopting a pet you can visit the Animal Control Department located at 1100 Eidson Road.
